1 - Installing ART tool and porting camera and assets to UE
This is written on a pretext of "quick and dirty” previs setup making use of the advantages Unreal has. There are a lot of tools out there that provide the same form of solution, however most of them are only available in-house. Hence, on a manual basis, here is what I've come up with.
I hope this will benefit anyone who is looking for a basic solution :)
2 - Customising filmback and saving as a preset in Unreal Engine
Filmbacks are part of both technical and creative foundation of making the shot look convincing and physically possible to be film on set. Often, previs shots are done in maya and sent to Unreal Engine for renders and additional fx and sometimes we may find the camera imported to UE don’t really represent what we see in Maya. This is a simple write up with reference to some tutorials online (credits in the pdf) to help ease some of the filmback preset process.
